The ABTA Travel Management Forum held in Lagos on the 10th of March 2017 with the theme “Nigerian Corporate Travel: Global Perception versus Local Reality”. It was a 2-day event that attracted top brass of travel management companies and hotels.
Convened at Protea Hotel Ikeja, it was an opportunity for stakeholders in the African aviation industry to discuss its challenges and the way forward.

Founded by Monique Swart, ABTA Travel Forum was an interactive networking session focused on finding ways to move corporate travel forward.

One of the issues raised at the event was the problems of the Nigerian hotel sector and its impact on the corporate travel industry. The travel forum created a platform for region-specific Travel Management education, information flow, collaboration and innovation with the aim to hasten Africa’s emergence as a global player in the Business Travel industry.
Speakers at the event were the regional head of ABTA Jeanette Moloto, Country Manager South African Airways Ohis Ehiamaghe, President of National Association of Nigerian Travel Agencies (NANTA) Bankole Bernard.
