Airlink, Southern Africa’s premier airline, will ramp up air services between South Africa and the Democratic Republic of Congo with the launch of flight between Johannesburg and Kinshasa from 28 March 2025.

The new service will operate three times a week with modern 98-seat Embraer E190 twin-engined aircraft.

Flight 4Z 010 will depart Johannesburg on Sundays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 2030 and arrive Kinshasa at 2340. Flight 4Z 011 will depart Kinshasa on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at 0025 and arrive Johannesburg at 0530. All times are local.

“The D.R. Congo is a signficant market for Airlink. We first stepped into the ring in 2020 with flights to Lubumbashi and now we are ready to follow through by adding Kinshasa to our formidable regional network. This will give customers on the route far greater reach and travel options than they currently enjoy.

Kinshasa is a regional heavyweight. Besides serving as the country’s political and economic capital, it is Africa’s most populous city with over seventeen million inhabitants. With Airlink’s combination of schedule, connections and great service we expect to have a knock-out response,” said Airlink CEO and Managing Director, Rodger Foster.

Airlink flights are scheduled to provide convenient connections with its South African domestic and regional services as well as with long-haul flights provided by its constellation of global airline partners.
