Africa Travel Week is calling on the travel community to register their interest in EQUAL Africa, running alongside WTM Africa on 11 April at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC).
Held annually as part of Africa Travel Week, the one-day event will bring together industry experts and thought leaders from across the globe to share insights on creating a more inclusive environment for LGBTQ+travel.
“Equal Africa has become an integral component of Africa Travel Week, providing a specialised platform for travel suppliers and buyers targeting the LGBTQ+ community,” says Martin Hiller, Creative + Content Director: Travel, Tourism and Creative Industries at RX Africa.
“Our official partnership with the International LGBTQ+ Travel Association (IGLTA) allows us to track the latest trends and welcome global experts to share strategies and marketing best practices to help rebuild our industry in a more open and inclusive way.”
Seats are already filling up for this year’s jam-packed programme featuring LoAnn Halden, Vice President: Communications for the IGLTA, Micheal Gladwin, Managing Director of Afrigay Travel, and Jason Fiddler, Founder of KZNGLTA.
In order to attend EQUAL Africa 2022, WTM Africa registrants and other interested parties will need to reserve their seats online before the event.
“Don’t wait until the day,” urges Hiller. “Although participation at the event is free of charge, we’re encouraging all Africa Travel Week attendees to register their interest online as seats are limited due to Covid-19 restrictions,” Hiller concludes.
The countdown has officially begun for EQUAL Africa 2022. Click here to reserve your place now to avoid disappointment.
